What is Hyundai Inster

Hyundai recently uncovered its global product which will be positioned as an entry-level model in the electric vehicle line-up. The Inster EV takes inspiration from the Casper sub-compact city car which is a petrol-only model in the Korean market, however, the new EV will be slightly longer.

The platform used by Casper has been reworked to accommodate an electric powertrain and is longer in terms of length to provide better space inside the cabin and for the battery pack. The Casper measures 3.5 metres long and its underpinnings have been extended by a good 230mm.

The Inster EV will measure 3.8 metres in length and 1.6 metres wide, thereby making it easy to put the battery pack on the floorboard. It will have a proper 5-seater configuration.
