Skoda has revealed its new entry-level EV internationally which goes by the name Epiq; Final product version is slated for a debut next year in 2025

Expanding its all-electric portfolio, Skoda has taken the wraps off a brand-new electric SUV which will be positioned as an entry-level product in the brand’s EV range. Dubbed Epiq, this is second of the six new electric vehicles scheduled for launch in the coming years. The corssover SUV has been revealed in the concept form and the final production version will debut next year in 2025.

The all-new Skoda Epiq concept electric SUV will measure around 4.1 metres in length with a massive boot space of up to 490 litres. As per the informarmation revealed by the company, it will come with a claimed range of around 400 kilometres on a single charge. While Skoda is tight lipped about the EV’s technical specifications, we beileve that it will be underpinned by the born-electric MEB platform’s entry level version which is specifically developed for front-wheel-drive entry level SUVs.

Reports suggests that the Epiq will be limited to just front wheel drive option in interest of cost savings as it will be targeted at the affordable end of the spectrum.

The new design language is being called “Modern Solid” and it surely looks modern, but solid? Skoda says the new Modern Solid design language combines robustness, functionality and authenticity. Upfront, the new interpretation of the brand’s signature girlle speaks of moderness and this design langauge will be followed in the upcoming EVs as well. While this is just a concept, you can expect the final styling to be toned down.

Simple yet elegant is what we can say as of now and it is also important to note that the charging port in mounted on the front fender.
