Upcoming 2024 Tata Curvv Spotted Testing: What We Know?

Tata Curvv Spotted Testing

The much-awaited Tata Curvv will be launched after June 2024 and it will be sold in both ICE and EV versions in the Indian market.

Tata Curvv is one of the most anticipated new launches of the year 2024 in the Indian market. Slated for a launch in the second half of 2024, it will be positioned in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment. The Curvv will be the first mass-market car to sport a proper coupe-SUV design and it will be followed by the recently revealed Citroen Basalt Vision Concept bearing the C3X name. In the latest development, the test mule of the production-ready Tata Curvv has been spotted yet again. So, let’s have a look at all the details of the upcoming Tata Curvv.

Tata Curvv Spotted Testing: What the Spy Shots Say?

Despite revealing the near-production version of the Curvv at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, Tata Motors is using heavy camouflage on its test mules. This highlights the fact that we could expect a few changes here and there in the final production version. The test mule’s front fascia reveals the familiar LED light bar running across the width, typical triangular headlamp housing and a large air dam in the lower section.

Towards the sides, the long sloping roofline merging into the boot door accompanied by flush door handles and squared-off wheel arches are a part of the package.

Tata Curvv Spotted Testing: Interiors and Features

Tata Motors is tight-lipped about the Tata Curvv’s interiors, however, we expect it to carry a familiar layout, much like the brand’s updated SUVs like Harrier, Safari and Nexon. The four-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo, free-standing 12.3-inch infotainment system, 10.25-inch fully digital instrument console and ventilated front seats are some of the features which we expect to get in the Curvv.

In terms of safety tech, the Curvv could possibly come with ADAS tech in addition to other safety features such as 6-airbags, 360-degree parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, ESC (electronic stability control) and more.

Tata Curvv Spotted Testing: What’s under the hood?

The newly developed 1.2-litre tGDi petrol engine will debut with Curvv, rated at 125 bhp and 225 Nm of peak torque. It will get a 6-speed manual gearbox and a proper DCT automatic transmission is also expected. In addition to this, the familiar 1.5-litre turbo diesel from the Nexon will power also the Curvv, putting out 115 bhp and 260 Nm of peak torque.

Apart from this, the Curvv EV will be based on the Tata Motor’s Gen2 EV architecture and it will come with a claimed range of around 500 kilometres on a single charge.
