After the launch of the Mahindra XUV3XO which gets a panoramic sunroof, Tata Motors is preparing to add the panoramic sunroof option to the Nexon
Mahindra XUV3XO became the first car in the segment to get a panoramic sunroof. Although it is not that big in terms of size when compared to the mid-size SUVs, it is still a sky roof type setup and of course, no other compact SUV in the segment offers it. Mahindra also commenced the bookings of the XUV3XO and managed to garner over 50,000 bookings within just 60 seconds. Reacting to this, Tata Motors is also preparing to introduce a panoramic sunroof in the Nexon.

Tata Nexon Panoramic Sunroof: What We Know, Size and Variants
While Tata Motors hasn’t officially confirmed this, a video has surfaced on the internet, most probably from the company’s production plant stockyard where a person can be seen showing the panoramic sunroof in the Tata Nexon. From the video, the it seems to be fairly large in size, extending across the length and width of the SUV. The control module housed for the panoramic sunroof seems to be a familiar unit and we expect this feature to be limited to the top end trims and that too, as an optional equipment.
For the record, the Tata Nexon currently gets a single pane sunroof and it is offered an an option with the special ‘S’ trims. To be precise, the Creative and Fearless variant line-ups will likely get the panoramic sunroof.
The Mahindra XUV3XO Effect: Really?
It will be safe to say that Tata Motors has taken this move after the launch of the Mahindra XUV3XO and comes down to the fact that the Indian carmaker wants to leave no stone unturned to stay ahead of the competition. For the buyers who are inclined towards features, this will definitely be a good addition and add to the popularity of the Tata Nexon which is performing brilliantly well in terms of sales figures.
