The Tata Curvv EV has been launched and it will be followed by the debut of conventionally powered ICE Curvv in the Indian market; Tata Curvv EV is available in two battery pack options.
Taking its electric onslaught forward, Tata Motors has finally launched the much-awaited Curvv EV in the Indian market. The electric coupe SUV is targetted at the mid-size electric SUV segment, with its starting price of Rs. 17.49 lakh, the Indian carmaker aims to attract customers from the mid-size petrol & diesel powered automatic SUV segment along with the premium EV buyers. Tata Curvv EV Launched: Battery Pack & Range
The Curvv EV will be available in two battery pack options i.e. a 45 kWh and a 55 kWh unit. These battery packs support Tata Motor’s new 1.2C charging technology and as per the claims, it can deliver a 150-kilometre top-up in just 15 minutes. Tata Curvv EV comes with a real-time charge point aggregator integrated into the iRA.ev application, showing chargers’ live availability while providing seamless navigation. The 55kWh battery pack features Prismatic cells with an 8% high energy density. The claimed range from this 55kWh battery pack is 585 kilometres on a single charge.
On the other hand, the MIDC claimed range of the 45 kWh battery pack is 502 kilometres on a single charge. It is paired with a 150 bhp electric motor putting out 215 Nm of peak torque (same as 55 kWh battery pack). The 0-100 kmph sprint comes up in 9 seconds.
Tata Curvv EV Launched: Performance on Offer
Tata Curvv EV comes with a 123 kW electric motor which takes it from 0-100 kmph in just 8.6 seconds. The electric motor is mounted on the front axle. The power output from the system stands at 167 bhp and 215 Nm of peak torque. Gets multi-mode regen with paddle shifters and standard vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charge technology. Top speed is limited to 160 kmph.
Tata Curvv EV Launched: Safety Features
Much like the other latest Tata cars, the Curvv EV is equipped with multiple standard safety features like 6 airbags, ESP, all-wheel disc brakes and electronic parking brake with auto-hold function. The top-spec trims will come with Level 2 ADAS as well to enhance the safety quotient.

Tata Curvv EV Launched: Underpinnings
The Tata Curvv EV is the second production based on the brand’s advanced Pure EV architecture – acti.ev. This platform helps to enhance the efficiency, cabin space management, battery capacity and the overall driving experience. The Acti.ev platform will also be used in a range of upcoming Tata Motors EVs.
Tata Curvv EV: Ground Clearance, Water Wading, Wheel Size & More
The Tata Curvv comes with a ground clearance of 190mm and it gets 18-inch aero-efficient wheels shod with 215 section low resistance tyres. The water wading capacity is a whopping 450mm. The Curvv EV also boasts a 50:50 weight distribution, making it extremely stable at high speeds. It also sports a class-leading 500 litres of boot space and also has a frunk in the hood.
Tata Curvv EV Launched: First-in-Segment Acoustic Vehicle Alert System, Level 2 ADAS & Charging Lid
In order to ensure pedestrian safety, Tata Motors has equipped the Curvv EV with a slow speed sound alert system which plays sounds up to speeds of 20 kmph. The Curvv EV also features a Level 2 ADAS tech with 20 features. The charging lid of the Curvv EV can be operated electrically operated.
