As per the media reports, the Altroz will benefit from the addition of features like six airbags, a 360° parking camera, a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and more. This 10.25-inch infotainment system will be a straight lift-off from the bigger Tata cars such as Nexon, Harrier, and Safari. This new system will be limited to higher-spec trims and the lower variants will continue with the regular 7-inch system. On the other end of the spectrum, the leatherette seats will be removed from the package and it will only come with the sporty racer version.
Talking about the new variant, XZ Lux, XZ+ S Lux and XZ+ S Lux Dark will be added to the Altroz lineup. The top-of-the-line variant Will get six airbags and a new 7-inch TFT instrument cluster.
The regular Altroz will continue to be powered by the familiar 1.2 L naturally aspirated petrol engine putting out 88BHP. The CNG version will also be continued with 74 BHP of maximum power. The 1.5 L Turbo diesel engine putting out 90 BHP will also be a part of the package.
As per the media reports, the i-Turbo variants with the 1.2 L engine will now be discontinued and the powerful turbo petrol engine will be reserved for the Altroz Racer only.
We were expecting Tata Motors to bring a mid-life facelift update for the Altroz, however, seeing the updates on the regular Altroz, it seems highly unlikely for next year or see. On the other hand, Tata Motors is concentrating on the volume-intensive SUV and EV segment.
