Revealing a few important details, Tata Motors has commenced the bookings of the Altroz Racer. Confirmed features include a sunroof, fully digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch Infotainment system, ventilated seats and a six-speed manual gearbox.
As per the leaked brochure of the Tata Altroz Racer, it will be available in three variants that is R1, R2 and R3. There will be three colour choices on offer for the customers and all these three options will have a blacked-out roof, pinstripes on the hood and Racer-specific design highlights inside out.
The basic R1 variant will get most of the basic features and some good-to-have add-ons. Over the R1 variant, the R2 trim will get a wireless charger, 17.78 cm, TFT digital instrument cluster 360° parking camera, blind view monitor, Xpress cool function, and more.
The top-of-the-line R3 trim will get connected car technology, front ventilated seats, and an air purifier.
Features like six airbags, leather seats, front fog lamps, height adjustable driver seat, rear AC vents, auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers, sporty exhaust setup, ambient lighting, eight-speaker system, automatic HVAC and front sliding armrest amongst others will be offered as standard.
Under the hood, the Altroz Racer will be powered by a 1.2 L three-cylinder Turbo petrol engine from the Nexon with a rated power output of 120 PS and 170 NM peak torque. It will only be available with the six-speed manual gearbox. This means it won’t get an automatic transmission, putting it behind the i20 N-Linne which gets a DCT automatic gearbox.
Regarding the expected price, the Altroz Racer range will likely start from 9.5 lakh ex-showroom, going all the way up to Rs. 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
