In a surprising move, Mercedes-Benz has pulled off something we didn’t expect. Yes, the iconic G-Class, which is also electrified now, gets a limited run ‘Stronger Than The 1980s’ edition. This exclusive edition is a highly exclusive and strictly limited small series for the G-Class enthusiasts.

Mercedes-Benz G-Class STRONGER THAN THE 1980s Edition: Top Highlights
- The special edition is a tribute to the first G-Class model series W 460, and hence, it is limited to just 460 units worldwide.
- The Mercedes-Benz G-Class STRONGER THAN THE 1980s Edition is available in two iterations, i.e. G450d and G500.
- The G450d is powered by a straight-six turbo diesel engine with 362 bhp, while the G500 uses a 3.0-litre straight-six turbo petrol engine with 440 bhp.
- The special edition is available in two iconic colours, i.e. MANUFAKTUR Agave Green Solid and MANUFAKTUR Colorado Beige Solid.
- The iconic turn signal indicators feature the typical orange colour, which speaks of the iconic W 460 aura from the 1980s.
- To enhance the vintage appeal, the G-Class ‘Stronger than the 1980s edition’ gets a blacked-out radiator grille, bumpers, flared wheel arches and exterior mirror housings.
- Furthermore, the retro-styled G-Class features classic 5-spoke light-alloy wheels.
- Similarly, the interiors of the G-Class Edition STRONGER THAN THE 1980s get a dove grey fabric finish on the centre panel of the black leather seats.
- The Mercedes-Benz G-Class Edition STRONGER THAN THE 1980s is now available for order at a starting price of £152,815 OTR.
