Maruti Suzuki will launch a new micro-SUV to rival the likes of Tata Punch & Hyundai Exter.

Internally codenamed Y43, the micro-SUV is expected to launch in the year 2026-2027. The timeline seems to be too far away but Punch and Exter have a reason to worry about. Keeping in mind the Maruti Suzuki’s expertise in the budget segment coupled with a track record of multiple successful products should send chills down the spines of the competitors. We believe that Maruti Suzuki will easily outrun its competitors in the micro-SUV segment with the upcoming Y43. While the launch is still a long time away, let’s take a look at the USPs or rather the expected USPs of the upcoming Y43 micro-SUV.

Expected to get the forthcoming Z series 1.2 litre 3 cylinder petrol engine under the hood, we can vouch about the fuel efficiency of the Y43. On the other hand, the owners of the Punch and Exter are extracting a real word mileage of 12-15 kmpl. On this front, the Y43 will easily deliver around 20kmpl.
