Maruti Suzuki Fronx Velocity Edition Starts at Rs. 7.29 Lakh: Details

Maruti Suzuki is now offering the Fronx Velocity Edition across the range at a starting price of Rs. 7.29 lakh; Available with all 14 variants, the accessory kit adds visual enhancements to the package.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) launched the Fronx last year and became an instant hit. While the 1.2 NA petrol engine constitutes the majority of sales, the company has been making consistent efforts to push the more expensive and powerful 1.0-litre BoosterJet turbo-petrol engine. In line with this, the Velocity Edition was launched sometime back with the 1.0-litre engine and now, the Indian carmaker has introduced the Velocity Edition across the entire range of Fronx.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Velocity Edition: Price, Additions and Variants

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is now available with a total of 14 variants, in both manual as well as automatic transmission options. The price range starts from Rs. 7.29 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Sigma Velocity Edition and surprisingly, it costs Rs. 23,000 less than the standard Sigma trim despite adding visual accessories such as contrasting front bumper garnish finished in Black and Red colour, headlamp garnish and wheel arch garnish.

It is important to note that these prices are applicable for a limited period. For the Delta, Delta+ and Delta+ (O) trims, the Velocity Edition brings visual upgrades in the form of the following additions:- Body side moulding – red inserts, Rear bumper painted garnish – black and red, Illuminated door sill guard, Red dash designer mat, Extended rear spoiler – black and red, Door visor, ORVM cover – Red and Rear door garnish.

For the 100 bhp Turbo Petrol variants, the Velocity Editon remains exactly the same as before which includes a red/grey exterior styling package, carbon-fibre trims on the inside along with other changes in the aforementioned variants.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Velocity Edition will see no mechanical changes and it will continue to draw power from the familiar 1.2 litre K12C petrol and 1.0 L BoosterJet petrol engine, mated to the option of a 5-speed manual, 5-speed AMT and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes. The Velocity Edition is available with both CNG and petrol fuel options.
