Maruti Fronx Facelift To Get Hybrid Powertrain: 35 Kmpl Mileage

Maruti Suzuki will launch the Fronx Facelift in India this year; To get an all-new design and updated features.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) launched the Fronx in 2023 and last year, it overtook the Baleno in sales numbers. This means that the company crossover has become quite popular amongst Indian car buyers. Banking on this trend, the company is working on the facelift model of the Fronx which is expected to debut in 2025.

Maruti Fronx Facelift Hybrid: Launch Timeline

While it may seem that Fronx is getting a mid-life update very early, it is somehow true. It will be one of the very few cars in Maruti’s line-up which is getting a major update within the first 2 years of its launch. As per the reports, the Fronx Facelift will be launched in India this year i.e. 2025, most probably in the second half.

Maruti Fronx Facelift Hybrid: Exterior Design Changes & New Features

The Fronx already looks quite fresh and young, however, with the facelift, the bar is expected to go upwards. Upfront, minor changes to the headlamps and DRLs are expected along with a new bumper. A new set of alloy wheels towards the side and an updated rear section will be a part of the package.

In terms of features, Maruti could likely equip the crossover with a single-pane sunroof, ventilated front seats, an improved infotainment system and a new instrument cluster.

Maruti Fronx Facelift Hybrid: New Hybrid Powertrain

Maruti Suzuki will debut its new HEV Series Hybrid powertrain technology with the Fronx Facelift. The new 1.2 litre Z12E petrol engine will be paired to the series hybrid system and it will deliver a claimed fuel efficiency of around 35 kmpl. This will make the Fronx the most efficient car in the Indian market. The power output figures are under wraps. The current 1.2 litre K12C petrol engine will likely be discontinued while the 1.0 litre BoosterJet engine will continue with the Fronx Facelift.
