Mahindra & Mahindra launched the XUV700 in the Indian market back in the year 2021. Almost 4 years down the line, the SUV has started to show its age and a mid-life facelift update is on the cards.

Mahindra XUV700 Facelift Launch Next Year: How things are shaping out?
Earlier, the XUV700 Facelift was speculated to launch in 2025, however, the company’s focus remains on electric vehicles and we could see the launch of the XEV 7e 7-seater electric SUV later this year.
As per the latest reports, the XUV700 Facelift is under development and it will go on sale sometime next year i.e. 2026.
Mahindra XUV700 Facelift Launch Next Year: Major Design Changes
Internally codenamed W616, the XUV700 facelift will get an all-new design along with an updated cabin layout. In terms of exterior design, expect the new model to take inspiration from the XEV 9e and the upcoming XEV 7e. This will include new bumpers, updated headlights and tail lights as well as a new set of alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, we can expect the XUV700 to get the triple-screen layout, similar to what we get on the XEV 9e, however, nothing can be confirmed as of now.

Mahindra XUV700 Facelift Launch Next Year: New Name ‘XUV7XO’
Going by the brand’s strategy of renaming the XUV300 facelift as XUV3XO, we expect a similar route to be taken for naming the XUV700 facelift. This is further confirmed by the fact that the name trademark for the XUV7XO has already been filed by Mahindra. There are high chances that the new SUV will be called the ‘XUV7XO’.

Under the hood, there will hardly be any mechanical changes. Mahindra could still play around with suspension tuning. Under the hood, the familiar 2.0 litre Stallion petrol and 2.2 litre mHawk diesel engines will continue to be a part of the package.
