Mahindra XUV700 AX3 & AX5 Variant Gets A Price Cut: Details

After a massive price reduction of up to Rs. 2 lakh for the top-of-the-line AX7 and AX7 L variants, the mid-spec AX3 and AX5 trims have been put under the belt.

Mahindra & Mahindra is finding it hard to sustain the momentum with the XUV700 in the Indian market. While the sales figures may suggest otherwise, the demand is surely taking a hit, so these price corrections are being introduced. Earlier, the top-spec AX7 and AX7 L variants got a big price cut of up to Rs. 2 lakh. In the latest development, the Mahindra XUV700 mid-spec AX3 and AX5 variants get a price cut of up to Rs. 70,000.

Mahindra XUV700 AX3 & AX5 Price Cut: The Competition Effect

The Mahindra XUV700 will most likely get its first mid-life facelift update next year. Currently, the waiting period for the XUV700 has also been reduced drastically and its current order backlog is around 13,000 units. This can be attributed to the high competition in the above Rs. 15 lakh segment where the Hyundai Creta is performing very well. Moreover, the Mahindra Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic are also big players in this segment. With the competition further intensifying after the launch of Tata Curvv and Mahindra’s own Thar Roxx 5-Door, this price reduction was the need of the hour.
