Mahindra & Mahindra seems to be in the mood to pull another block-buster launch as it has decided to rename the upcoming XUV300 facelift. As per the teaser shared by the company, the XUV300 Facelift will be called the XUV3XO. The launch is confirmed for 29th April 2024 followed by the price announcement and bookings will be commenced around the same timeline.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift has been spotted multiple times on the Indian roads and we know that it will be the same vehicle besides some major cosmetic changes and multiple feature additions. However, renaming the SUV as XUV3XO is a major move to improve the overall positioning of the facelifted XUV300. The SUV has been on sale since 2019 and failed to make a major mark in the segment as compared to its rivals who are doing easily over 10,000 units every month.
Mahindra’s strategy behind this major revamp is to bring back the LIFE to its sub-4-meter SUV game and hence the XUV3XO name.
The new XUV3XO terminology will help the company position the SUV as a completely new product, freshly baked out of the factory. It could potentially help Mahindra to bring in a new streak of buyers who never considered the XUV300 before, due to its relatively lower appeal in terms of features, design and interiors.
The new name will translate into a new identity for the XUV300 and will give a fresh start to the SUV in the market. However, we can’t ignore the fact that it will just be a major facelift with a design overhaul inside out and new feature additions.
The teaser of the XUV300 Facelift highlights the new BE-inspired grille, rear-connected tail lamps and the new set of alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, you can expect a new infotainment system, a fully digital driver’s display, connected car tech and more.
