Kia Syros EV Launch: Powertrain, Range & Expected Price

While the powertrain details are under wraps, the ICE Syros is based on a modified K1 platform and it will also accommodate the electric powertrain. For reference, the Hyundai Inster EV is also based on the K1 platform. This also means that the Syros EV could share the battery pack and electric motor with the Inter EV which gets 42kWh and 49kWh options. The claimed range with this setup stands at up to 355 kilometres.

These are WLTP figures and the MIDC claimed range will be over 400 kilometres in the case of Syros EV.

We expect the Syros EV to be launched at a starting price of around Rs. 12-13 lakh (ex-showroom).
