Kia is set to introduce the mid-life facelift update of the Carens MPV. It will be sold alongside the current model, which means that there will be two MPVs on sale. For the upcoming updated MPV, Kia has revealed the ‘Clavis’ name, which was earlier speculated for the Syros. The trademark for the name was filed last year, highlighting that the company was working on the Carens facelift for a long time.

Kia Carens Facelift ‘Clavis’: New Design

The mid-cycle update of the MPV will benefit from an all-new design language, inspired by the new age Kia cars. A new set of three-pod LED headlamps with DRLs, a small grille, and a new front bumper will be a part of the package. Expect a new set of 17-18 inch alloy wheels along with refreshed connected tail lamps.

The teaser showcases the ADAS function, which means that the Kia Clavis will get a Level 2 ADAS system. In addition to this, a panoramic sunroof will also be there. We expect the inclusion of a 360-degree parking camera as well.

Kia Carens Facelift ‘Clavis’: Familair Engines

Expect the familiar 1.5-litre CRDi diesel, 1.5-litre tGDi petrol and 1.5-litre NA petrol engines to power the new Kia Clavis. We don’t expect any changes to the gearbox options and the engine tune.
