Yes, you hear that right. The Hyundai Venue now gets a proper manual gearbox with the 1.0 tGDi petrol engine and we have a new Executive variant that costs Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). A good Rs. 75,000 affordable than the S(O) turbo variant, the Venue Executive comes at a tempting price, directly rivalling the likes of Renault Kiger Tubro and Nissan Magnite Turbo.
On the feature front, the Venue Executive is quite loaded with bells and whistles such as 16-inch dual-tone styled wheels, dark chrome front grille, shark fin antenna, 2-step recline for rear seats, 8-inch infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, cruise control, automatic headlamps, six airbags and more.
Under the hood, the Venue Executive variant is powered by the familiar 1.0 litre tGDi petrol engine putting out 120 bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque. This variant does not get the DCT transmission option. Instead, you will have to upgrade to the S(O) trim for the DCT automatic gearbox which will set you back by 11.86 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the S(O) turbo MT variant is priced at Rs. 10.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
It is also important to note that the new Executive variant of Venue Turbo comes at the same price point as the i20 N-Line N6 MT which uses the same 1.0 turbo petrol engine.
In addition to this, HMIL has also introduced enhanced convenience features on the VENUE S (O) Turbo trim, with the addition of an Electric Sunroof and Map Lamps for driver & passenger.
With a good feature set and turbo petrol engine paired to the manual gearbox, the new Venue Executive becomes an absolute value-for-money variant. It will put the Venue back on the cards of enthusiasts who are in the market for a proper stick shift gearbox.
