The prices of the Hyundai Alcazar Facelift have been revealed and the range starts from Rs. 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The 6/7-seater SUV is available in both petrol and diesel powertrain options. Hyundai Alcazar is an absolute steal deal at Rs. 15 lakh (ex-showroom) for the `158 BHP 1.5 litre tGDi engine. The premium for the base spec diesel over petrol is Rs. 1 lakh. If your running is below 2000 kilometres per month, avoid it at all costs. Rest other trims i.e. Prestige, Platinum and Signature are priced at par for petrol and diesel powertrain.
The 6-seater option is only available with an automatic transmission option. The 6-seater options command a premium in the range of Rs. 10,000-20,000 which is pretty justified.
Overall, the new Alcazar comes out as quite a value-for-money package for the amount of features, reliable powertrains and Hyundai’s after-sales support. However, if you are seriously considering a 7-seater SUV, there are better options in the market with a practical 3rd row and ample boot space.
