Honda Cars India has been struggling to keep up the sales momentum of the City sedan, with sales of around 700-800 units in November-December 2024. Despite some good discounts, the City struggled through and a major update is the need of the hour. In the latest development, the Japanese carmaker has introduced the City Apex Edition accessory kit for a nominal amount of Rs. 25,000. On the exterior, the enhancements are just limited to Apex Edition badges on the boot lid and front fenders. Inside the cabin, the changes are much more significant with the addition of the Apex Edition-exclusive seat covers and cushions. Apart from this, it gets a leatherette finish on the dashboard, door pads and centre console, adding to the premium appeal.
7-colour ambient lighting is also a part of the package with the Apex Editon which extends to the instrument panel and door trims. This ambient lighting can be had as an individual accessory for Rs. 7,500 across all the variants i.e. SV, V, VX and ZX.
The Apex Edition will set you back by an extra Rs. 25,000. The accessory package can only be opted for the mid-spec V and VX variants, with both manual and CVT gearbox options. It is important to note that the Apex Edition will be available in limited numbers.

The Honda City continued to be powered by the familiar 1.5 litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine putting out 121 bhp and 145 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic gearbox. The City V MT is priced at Rs. 13.05 lakh (ex-showroom) and the V CVT comes at Rs. 14.30 lakh (ex-showroom). For the Apex Edition, you will have to spend an additional Rs. 25,000.
