Powertrain Details
The Vision S will likely be powered by a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine, putting out around 115 bhp and 300 Nm of peak torque. The petrol variants could get the 1.2-litre tGDi motor, which is doing duty on the XUV3XO. Moreover, we expect some sort of hybrid system to follow at a later stage, since the NU_IQ platform is capable of supporting multiple powertrain setups. The test mule is seen sporting an automatic gearbox option, and Mahindra could introduce a proper 6-speed torque converter unit with the 1.5-litre diesel engine.
