Mahindra Thar Roxx New Off-Road Features: CSA, Electronic Locking Differential & Intelli Turn Assist
The latest teaser released by Mahindra reveals the toggle-type switches located on the centre console. Four main toggles are visible in the teaser and the one towards the right is for the hazard lamp which we are already aware of.
- Left most toggle- CSA (Crawl Smart Assist)– This will be the new introduction in the Thar Roxx and once activated, a desired speed of 2.5 kmph to 30 kmph can be set by the driver and the SUV will keep on moving at that speed without any throttle input. This feature can be very useful in certain off-road scenarios and will only be available with the automatic transmission option.
- The Middle Toggle- Electronic Locking Differential (ELD)– The electronically locking rear differential or e-locker allows both rear wheels to spin at the same speed, thereby helping in an off-road scenario with extreme articulation angles.
- Intelli Turn Assist– This feature will help to reduce the turning radius of the Thar Roxx by locking the inner rear wheel as per the direction of the turn. It can only work with speeds of up to 15 kmph and activates for only 15 seconds at a time. For the Intelli Turn Assist to work, the electronic locking differential should be turned off.

Mahindra Thar Roxx Ventilated Seats: Confirmed
In addition to the new off-road features, the teaser showcases the toggle for turning on the ventilated seats in the Mahindra Thar Roxx. The toggle on the right corner seems to be the dedicated switch to turn on the ventilation function. Furthermore, we can also see the perforated seats in the teaser, thereby confirming this feature. It will most likely be limited to the top-spec trims of the Thar Roxx.
