The MG ZS gets an update in the form of the second-gen model; To be sold in European and Australian markets and gets a strong hybrid powertrain.
The 2025 New MG ZS is here and it gets an updated design language along with the addition of a strong hybrid powertrain. The 2nd gen ZS will be available in Europe and Australia. In India, the new-gen model is expected to arrive in the coming years. For the record, MG sells the current gen ZS as Astor in the Indian market.

2025 New MG ZS: The Powertrain
The new MG ZS Hybrid+ is the highlight and it uses a 1.5-litre non-turbo four-cylinder petrol engine putting out 102 bhp, paired to an electric motor with power output rated at 136 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. The combined power output from the system stands at 196 bhp and 343 Nm of peak torque, taking the SUV from 0-100 kmph in 8.7 seconds. The power is channelled to the front wheels via a 3-speed automatic gearbox.
The standard petrol options include a 1.5 litre NA four-pot and a 1.5 litre turbo unit, both paired to a CVT automatic gearbox.
The BEV MG ZS will likely be replaced with an electric-only MG S5 SUV.

2025 New MG ZS: New Design & Features
The new-gen MG ZS gets an updated design and it appears to be quite modern as well as grown up. The list of features inside the cabin has also seen a bump in the form of a new 12.3 infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, a 360-degree parking camera, Level 2 ADAS, heated front seats and steering wheel, powered driver’s seats and rain-sensing wipers amongst others.
Keeping the safety aspect in mind, the SUV comes with equipment like six airbags, seat belt reminders, TPMS and more as standard.
