Almost a decade since we saw a proper hybrid version of the Civic and finally, we have some good news. The Civic Hybrid is here for the year 2025 and it brings a host of other upgrades including sportier styling, improved fuel economy ratings and more tech on board. The prices are out and the 2025 Civic sedan will soon go on sale. The refreshed Civic Hatchback, including the first-ever Civic Hatchback hybrid, will arrive at dealers later this summer. The Civic Hybrid sedan is capable of churning out 200 BHP and 232 pound-feet of peak torque from its 2.0-litre four-pot gasoline-fed engine paired with powerful and efficient Honda two-motor hybrid-electric system. The top-of-the-line Sport Touring Hybrid is better equipped, however, you will have to shell out some extra bucks for it. The non-hybrid Civic uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine which runs now on the Atkinson Cycle and is slightly less powerful as compared to the outgoing model. The 2025 Civic non-hybrid makes 150 bhp and 133 pound-feet torque, however, is more fuel-efficient and also, offers a wide torque curve.
To further amplify Civic’s legendary fun-to-drive spirit and class-leading ride comfort, the ride and handling dynamics of the Civic hybrid have been optimized with unique spring and damper tuning and a specially-developed tyre. Hybrid trims also enjoy the lowest NVH levels in the Civic lineup, with a robust noise reduction package that includes Active Noise Control (all hybrids) and wheel resonators (Sport Touring).
