A bigger footprint, 3-rows, more tech and multiple powertrain options are the highlights of the 2025 Dacia Bigster; Prices to be announced soon.
Dacia has finally taken the wraps off the Bigster, the 7-seater SUV based on the popular Duster nameplate. Set for an official debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, the Bigster is said to be the biggest Dacia model yet. The new SUV will be sold in multiple markets worldwide including India, under the Dacia and Renault brands. For the record, the Bigster concept was revealed in the year 2021.

2025 Dacia Bigster Revealed: Design & Dimensions
In terms of dimensions, the Bigster is fairly bigger than the Duster. It is longer by a good 230 mm with the wheelbase up by 43 mm. Overall, the 7-seater SUV measures 4.57 metres long, 1.81 metres wide and 1.71 metres high with a wheelbase of 2.7 metres.
In terms of design, the SUV seems to draw a lot from the concept and appears quite rugged. Upfront, it shares a lot with the Duster and gets a wide, gloss black grille featuring the iconic “Dacia link” in the centre. The sculpted, horizontal bonnet has been designed to give the driver a clear view of the road below. The SUV gets 17 and 18-inch wheels as standard and customers can opt for 19-inch wheels as an option with the top-spec trim.
2025 Dacia Bigster Revealed: Powertrain
Under the hood, the 2025 Dacia Bigster is available with multiple powertrain options including a strong hybrid and mild-hybrid petrol as well as a CNG fuel option. The mild-hybrid petrol uses a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine paired to a 48V system putting out 140 bhp, paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. This engine also gets an AWD system as an option and the power is sent to the front wheels in the regular version.
The strong hybrid Bigster is powered by a 107 bhp four-pot petrol engine paired with two electric motors, producing a combined 50 bhp. It uses a 1.4 kWh battery pack and the combined output from the system stands at 155 bhp.
The LPG-powered Bigster comes with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol paired to a mild-hybrid system and can run on both CNG as well as petrol. It has a 50-litre fuel tank and a 49-litre LPG tank. Some markets will also get a diesel engine option.

2025 Dacia Bigster Revealed: Price and India Launch
As per the company, the Dacia Bigster will carry competitive pricing and will be offered in four variants i.e. Essential, Expression, Extreme and Journey. As for its India launch is concerned, the Duster is expected to debut in the second half of 2025 and the Bigster 7-seater will follow around 6 months later i.e. sometime in the year 2026.
As of now, only the 5-seater version of the Bigster has been revealed and in India, we will get it in the 7-seater guise, rivalling the likes of Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar and MG Hector Plus amongst others.
